Privacy Policy
Your privacy is not a feature we offer — it is the foundation we are built on. This page explains exactly what happens (and what does not happen) with your data when you use Super Typing Test Online.
TL;DR — The Short Version
We know privacy policies are long. Here is the honest summary:
- We do not collect your typing data. Your keystrokes never leave your browser.
- We do not require accounts. No sign-ups, no profiles, no passwords.
- We do not sell data. We have no data to sell. Our business model is not ad-driven.
- We use minimal cookies. Only one cookie saves your dark mode preference.
- Third-party services (fonts, certificate PDF) have their own policies listed below.
- Contact form data is emailed to us and used only to reply to you.

1. Introduction
Welcome to Super Typing Test Online ("we", "us", "our"), accessible at www.supertypingtest.online. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, use our typing test tool, generate certificates, or contact us through our form. By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We believe the best privacy policy is one built on minimal data collection. Unlike many typing tools that log every keystroke for analytics or sell usage data to advertisers, we have deliberately chosen a different architecture — one where your typing data simply never leaves your device.
2. Information We Collect
We are upfront: the amount of data we collect is exceptionally small. Here is the complete list:
Theme Preference
We store your dark mode / light mode choice in your browser's localStorage. This is a single key-value pair ("theme": "dark" or "light") that never leaves your device and is never transmitted to any server.
Contact Form Data
If you use our Contact Form, we collect: your name, email address, subject, and message. This data is sent via Formsubmit.co directly to our email inbox. It is not stored in any database on our end.
Blogger Hosting Data
Since our site is hosted on Google Blogger, Google may automatically collect standard server logs including IP address, browser type, referring URL, and time of visit. This is standard for all Blogger sites and is controlled by Google's Privacy Policy.
That is it. We do not have a user database. We do not have an analytics dashboard tracking individual users. We do not have a CRM system. The three items above represent 100% of the data associated with our website.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
This section is arguably more important than the previous one. Here is what we explicitly do not collect:
- Keystroke Data: We do not log, record, store, or transmit any characters you type during the typing test. All typing is processed locally in your browser using JavaScript.
- Typing Speed or Accuracy Records: Your WPM score, accuracy percentage, and test results are calculated in real-time in your browser and are never sent to any server.
- Certificate Names: When you generate a certificate, the name you enter is used only to create the PDF in your browser. It is not stored or submitted anywhere.
- Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your real name, age, gender, location, phone number, or any personal details unless you voluntarily provide them through the contact form.
- Account Credentials: We do not have a user account system. There are no passwords, no email verifications, and no profile data.
- Behavioral Tracking: We do not track which topics you select, how long you practice, or how many tests you take.
- Device Fingerprinting: We do not use canvas fingerprinting, browser fingerprinting, or any technique to uniquely identify your device across visits.
- Location Data: We do not request or collect your GPS location, IP-based geolocation, or timezone data.
4. How We Use Information
Given our minimal data collection, our usage is equally minimal and specific:
Theme Preference
Used solely to remember your dark/light mode choice between visits so you do not have to toggle it every time you open the website.
Contact Form Data
Used solely to read your message and respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, newsletter, or marketing campaign.
Blogger Log Data
We do not actively use Blogger's server logs. Google may use them for its own purposes as outlined in Google's privacy policy. We do not have access to individual user analytics dashboards.
We never use your data for: advertising, profiling, selling, sharing with third parties for marketing, building user profiles, or any purpose other than responding to your contact form message.
5. Cookies & Local Storage
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We use an extremely minimal approach:
How to Clear This Data
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear Browsing Data → Cookies and "Site Data"
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove
- Mobile: Browser Settings → Privacy → Clear Browsing Data
Note: Clearing this data will reset your theme preference to light mode. No other functionality is affected.
6. Third-Party Services
Our website loads resources from the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
Important: We do not operate any analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no Plausible). There are no third-party tracking scripts on our website beyond what is listed above.
7. Certificate Generation Privacy
Our certificate feature is designed with privacy as a core principle. Here is exactly how it works under the hood:
- You enter your name into the input field in the results modal.
- JavaScript reads that name from the input field's value property — entirely within your browser's memory.
- JsPDF (a client-side library) generates a PDF document using that name, your WPM score, accuracy, and the current date.
- Your browser triggers a download — the PDF is saved to your device using the browser's native download mechanism.
- No server is involved. The name, scores, and PDF never leave your device. There is no API call, no database insertion, no cloud upload.
Verification Note: Our certificates are self-verified. We do not maintain a central database of issued certificates. This means we cannot verify a certificate's authenticity if a third party contacts us — which is also why we cannot leak any certificate data.
8. Google AdSense & Advertising
We may display advertisements through Google AdSense to support the free operation of this website. If ads are present, the following applies:
- Google AdSense may use cookies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing history across websites.
- These cookies are set by Google, not by us. We do not control which cookies AdSense sets or what data it collects.
- AdSense may collect data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and ad interactions for ad targeting and fraud prevention.
- You can opt out of personalized ads by visiting Google Ad Settings.
- You can install the Google AdSense opt-out browser extension to disable interest-based ads entirely.
For complete details on how Google uses data for advertising, read Google's Advertising Privacy page.
9. Children's Privacy
Super Typing Test Online is a general-purpose educational tool that may be used by individuals of all ages, including minors. Since we do not collect personal information from any user (no accounts, no name collection, no email collection through the typing tool itself), our website is inherently safe for children to use.
However, the Contact Form on our Contact Us page does collect name and email. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age through this form. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete the information from our email records.
Key Point: The typing test itself collects absolutely zero data from anyone — child or adult. The only data entry point on our entire website is the voluntary contact form.
10. Data Security
While no system can guarantee 100% security, we implement the following measures:
Minimal Attack Surface
Since we do not store user data in any database, there is no data to breach. The best security is not having data to protect.
Client-Side Processing
All typing calculations and certificate generation happen in your browser. No sensitive data traverses the network.
HTTPS Encryption
Our website is served over HTTPS, ensuring all communication between your browser and our server is encrypted via TLS.
Honeypot Spam Protection
Our contact form uses a hidden honeypot field to block automated bots. No CAPTCHA is forced on legitimate users.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, or other regulations), you may have the following rights. Given our minimal data practices, exercising these rights is straightforward:
Right to Access
You have the right to know what data we hold about you. Answer: nothing (unless you submitted the contact form).
Right to Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your data. Contact us and we will delete any contact form data from our email records.
Right to Rectification
If your contact form data is inaccurate, contact us and we will correct it in our records.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to the processing of your data. Since we barely process any, this is effectively always granted.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your data in a portable format. If you submitted a contact form, we can email you a copy of your message.
Right to Withdraw Consent
Clear your browser's localStorage and cookies to withdraw any consent. This instantly removes the theme preference data.
Note on Blogger data: Any data collected by Google Blogger (server logs, etc.) is subject to Google's own data policies and is not under our direct control. To exercise rights over Google's data, use Google Account Privacy Settings.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
- Significant changes (such as adding new data collection) will be noted with a clear revision log below.
- We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially before using the contact form.
- Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Revision History
